Fashions as they Come and Go.
In middle school, there are many different fashions with both genders. For the girls you have everywhere from the "girly girls" to the girls that only wear black. For the guys you have the ones that don't know how to keep their pants up to their waste and not have their butts hang out, to the ones that wear all baggy clothes and hoodies everyday.
Some girls dress as the typical "girly girl". Those girls that wear all light and bright colors. They seem to always try to look their best no matter what. You rarely ever see them in those clothes that they don't seem out of the ordinary.
Then you have the athletic girls; the ones who are always in shorts and a t-shirt. They seem to be the most comfortable ones. They dress in what makes them comfortable. In Middle School, not a a lot of people have the courage to do that.
There are also the girls that dress in only black. They are the ones that kind of stay to themselves and you rarely ever see them in anything but black or other darker colors.
But don't think girls are the only ones that stick to that one fashion that they have, boys are the exact same way. I guess it's maybe not as noticeable, but it still happens.
There are the guys, just like the girls, that only wear shorts and a t-shirt. To me, it actually is a really big difference when you see them not wearing those clothes.
Then there are the guys that wear the clothes that are just too big for them. They always have those big pants that slide down past their waist. They have the shirts that go down to a little over their knees.
There are also the ones that you could say dress preppy. They wear the tight skinny jeans and a nice fitted t-shirt. They seem to be the more confident of the bunch.
Imagine having to go to a school that required all students to wear a uniform. Everyone being in the same outfit everyday. I don't know about you but that would make me go crazy. And it's not because I wouldn't know the "types" of people, it's just seeing the same things everyday wouldn't go well for me.
I think a lot of people dress the way they do to fit in. I know of some people that think that if they don't dress a certain way, they won't be accepted. I honestly don't get that. People like people for who they are, not the kind of clothes your in. And if it's not that way, then those people aren't worth your friendship anyways. Maybe in those cases; uniforms would be nice. But then again, you wouldn't be able to show the real you.
But maybe you have a different opinion, I'd love to hear it.
